What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal data you give us through this website. It is published under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send through our forms:
- Contact form: name, organisation, phone number, email address and your message.
- Job applications: the above plus your CV and any details you include in it.
- Vendor and sub-contractor registration: the above plus your company profile, registration and tax details you choose to share.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data such as bank account numbers, passwords or health information through this website. Please do not include them.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To assess your job application and contact you about suitable roles.
- To assess your vendor or sub-contractor registration and contact you about work.
- To keep a record of our correspondence and meet legal obligations.
We will not use your data for any other purpose without asking you first. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Your consent
By submitting a form you consent to our using your data for the purpose of that form, as described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawal does not affect what we did before, and we will stop using and delete your data unless the law requires us to keep it.
Who can see it
Only JNL staff who need it for the purpose above. Form submissions are received and stored by our website host, Netlify, Inc., which processes them on our behalf and may store them outside India. We share data with government authorities only where the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: 12 months from our last reply.
- Job applications and CVs: 24 months.
- Vendor registrations: while the vendor is active with us and for 3 years after.
After that, we delete the data unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to authorised staff, to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it; and
- name another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or are unable to.
Children
This website is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and job applicants must be 18 or older.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand overall use of the site, such as which pages are visited and how visitors find us. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) and does not identify individual visitors to us; Google’s own privacy policy applies to that data. Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and other services take you to those services, whose own privacy policies apply.
Contact and grievances
